There are more legal drugs being bought, sold and abused by far than illegal drugs and yet the legalization of more drugs is still being considered. While the drug problem continues to escalate the argument of drug legalization is a clever “red herring” drawing attention and resources away from the real problems we face in our society: too many psych based solutions, terrible education systems, not enough real solutions for addiction, immorality, environmental pollution and so on.

Knowing the economic growth that the FairTax will bring to America, I am always pleased when one of America’s major news outlets focuses on this legislation, as happens frequently. While I certainly disagree with the editorial’s conclusion, in the wake of Tuesday’s midterm election results the WSJ’s admonition is tremendously instructive to the new Republican majority set to lead the House.
