no big can’t have…
home address, phone number
There should only be the e-mail and city/state of where they are and nothing more specific for privacy purposes. And anything that a member wants removed from their entry, they should be able to remove it.
Case level, age
nothing… It’d only be available for viewing by other Scn… so I feel safe on these lines here w/u Ray….
There could be lots of options. But we need to be able to choose what we want listed. What you have above seems sufficient.
Personal information or location. When I was part of an other site, that board was infiltrated and all of my contact info and relation to others who worked for the church and their personal location and contact info was published on an SP site. So I only put basic 3D info on such a comm-line now.
areas of expertise/interest, phone number and or address in the physical universe
I think the razz line should be set up like craigslist. The bigger it gets and the more email I get the less I want it coming to my computer. I like being on the comm line but I don’t have the time to sort through everyone’s needs & wants to see if I’m interested in that comm. Thank you
This is tough as I have no interest. I’ll have to let others say what should not be included
advertising, banner ads. Classifieds okay
Maybe that would be up to the individual? Some people post everything about themselves, some are nervous about any public listing.
phone number
Conditions notifications should be clearly in a seperate section, if at all, labels as such, so that you must enter that area to view Conditions announcements. In general, I would like notices to be posted in groups: real estate, cars for sale, Org announcements, VM cycles, etc.
All the fields should be optional.
email address would be a violation of privacy that could lead to unwanted emails
addresses, personal information, business names, promotional or sales advertisements,
the org; not relevant to my needs Appended answer to #3 question: My answer would best be described as “I would want the choice later on”.
If possible some sort of intro from the person. What services (if any) do they offer.
I would not like to see it used as a Personal directory. I like the Church affiliated flaour of the RazzLine and the fact this line enables us to move toward a cleared planet. If one comes across a 2D type commn line as a byproduct of this, great!!! But I would not like to see it swerve into being a personals type of thing. I recently was sponsored for Orkut, 14 million people in the group, sounds good, but when I really looked, too 2D oriented. The pity is that it is a wog type group, but based on the purpose of Orkut (minus the 2d flavour) it could work well.
Phone numbers.
Nothing, unless the list is protected by a frequently-changed password. I’ve had an e-mail intercepted by some anti-Scn guy who then posted it on his website for all to see. It’s wasn’t good. I learned from it.
Comment: There should be a rule that people cannot just lift the names and make broad-emailing lists of their own (i.e., so people don’t get junk email as a result of being on the list). In a way, the Scn online website already provides a way for people to be found and contacted, so a Razzline membership list shouldn’t really be necessary, come to think of it… Will the list be searchable by certain criteria (e.g., real estate or Scouts or etc.)
telephone, address.
The things I didn’t check in #2. More personal information can be gotten via direct email.
Personal information.
I think very personal info including ways to contact you at your home or job should be opptional and other than that if people offer services or something then that should be included.
address or phone number or email address. i would also want to be able to list my blog or web page address.
Email, phone, home address, social security number
can’t think of any
don’t know
all of the above and web site address and phone number
email address must be optional. I hope you make listing optional too. Great service Ray.
Phone number, address - any personal information.
don’t really have an answer to #4, but want to say more on #3…. I would love to have a directory and see who’s out there and what they do - that would be awesome. I would be reluctant to have my email address posted because then I would get spammed. …maybe I’d be happy to be listed but list my other email address and not this one… can I do that? If so, then yes, check the middle box for question #3.
Name, Last Name, Address and Phone Number
financial data
weight & income, 2 numbers I never give out.
Any that the person would not want to appear. One’s profile should be customizable. In other words, I should be able to put there my profile choosing from a very wide spectrum of possible things to include in it: name, details, profession… anything. This simplifies things for everyone, also for the moderator, as it would keep personal slogans, personal presentations etc. to a minimum and easy to check.
Where you are on Bridge Why number of children?
See above.
In the current state of the site, none of this information should be incldued.
All I’d want is the name and email so I could contact the people
Whatever wouldn’t be interesting to people though they’d probably ignore it if it wasn’t.
marital status, children, hobbies
Something that the members and the church would consider to be a security issue. No sure exactly what but you know what I mean - I hope.
The option to fill out or not fill out data in the directory. People vary as to what information they want to give out. For some it could be the email address. for others it could be something else. Just give people the option to have the data in the directory be as complete or incomplete as they like.
